Frequently Asked Questions

At this time, each job is priced individually. This can be determined quickly with pictures or an in person estimate. Different factors that go into pricing include tree species, location of stump, accessibility, roots, root flare, and hazards such as rocks or metal. There is no additional charged based on customer location. We do not price per stump, or price per inch/foot. The majority of our customers are surprised by the affordability of our service!

Our standard stump grinding service includes grinding of the stump, root flare (where the ground sometimes comes up above grade to the stump) and visible roots taken 6-8 inches below grade. Where applicable, guards may be used to protect your property or valuables. Hard surfaces in the work area will be blown off with a leaf blower. Removal of the wood chips generated from stump grinding, as a rule, are not included in this price. We offer chip removal within a certain area for an additional charge.

We accept cash, check, venmo, zelle, and all major credit cards. Credit card transactions add an additional 3.5% to the total price.

Once the estimate has been approved, we are usually able to schedule your service within the same week. You will be provided with a tentative date and 2 hour expected arrival time range, which is based on your location and scope of work needed. We are more than happy to make any accommodations we can to make this work with your schedule. Sometimes due to weather, mechanical issues, or unforeseen events we may need to alter our schedule. This would be communicated to you as soon as possible if applicable.

We are frequently asked about equipment sizing/weight. The machine we use is not like the older stump grinders that are pulled behind a truck. Our machine is self propelled, and can travel to the stumps by itself with no vehicles driving through or on your yard. We commonly park our truck in the road and drive the machine to the work site. The machine fits through most fence gates. It is relatively light for machines of similar size, and in normal dry conditions does not leave behind large ruts or tracks.

Most jobs take an hour or less!
